DSPCA Mobile Unit is part of the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (a charity rather than a corporate vet group). Based on the website, it’s set up as a mobile vet clinic alongside wider animal-care services such as neutering, dog training, doggie daycare, a pet hotel, and a pet memorial garden.
From the latest reviews available, experiences are mixed: some owners describe helpful staff and strong support around taking in animals or adoption (including “aftercare service”), while others report serious concerns about adoption transparency (animals allegedly going home sick or with undisclosed issues) and one review describes being advised to stop feeding abandoned cats.

The DSPCA is a great animal shelter that allows pets to access all the care they need. They find homes for the pets and treat them with respect.

Awful awful place. Be very careful taking animals from them. They send them out sick & unwell & with parasites & charge you for it. Utterly abysmal practice, they have a vet onsite but still don’t care how their animals are sent out aslong as they get their money. Stay well clear, safer getting animals from loving peoples homes than this place which in reality is just a puppy farm who put money first.

Amazing humans and amazing place. I was so anxious of giving my kitten to them because of the negative comments. But once I stepped there i knew that my kitten will be properly taken care of. The staff was helpful, friendly, professional and understanding. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness. May God bless this place and it's people.

I contacted this organisation for advice or help on two lost and abandoned cats that had been at our house for almost a week. I sent images of the animals to them and reported that they were less than 6 months old and appeared to have been dumped or abandoned. We could not keep them as we have our 16 year old cat and terrier cross dog. I explained my concern for the cats and that we had given them some food and could not find their owners locally. The response? 'Stop feeding the cats, they will go away eventually.' You want me to be intentionally cruel to vulnerable animals to get rid of them when you are supposed to be an animal protection agency.

We adopted a cat from here and all was well , paid our fee which covered the neutering and microchip only when we got home the issues started . Didn't take us long to realize the cat was deaf and had 3 broken toes , none of which had been pointed out to us (we would have still adopted her anyway). Our local vet wasn't surprised by the DSPCA's lack of transparency at all as he had lots of poor experience with them . They also got her age wrong by many , many years. Then the phone calls began , asking for donations. At first I fobbed them off , but then they kept calling back, daily , for 13 days straight until my wife unloaded on them over the phone one day . I'm sure they do good, but our experience was very poor .

Great place to visit and look at their Rainbow 🌈 garden for pets. Or if you would like a new fur baby, it's the place to go. Great staff that will help you find the right fur baby for you 😁

Was absolutely horrified when I went into this facility today it was a wonderful place to be with dogs up until the cost of living got too high and they are trying to charge a fee of 10 euros to use a dog run that’s 80% of the time empty, what an absolute disgrace on behalf of this charity I will continue to use the walk around but they will prob start charging for that too. And rude staff member failed to properly explain what was going on making faces at me because her rescue dog is reactive and it ran towards my dog barking my dog wouldn’t harm a fly 🪰 she works there she should be a bit more nice and understanding very disappointed with this service all together today

Found an escaped budgie and wasn't sure what to do. Called DSPCA, and after checking that their small animals section had enough space, they were happy to take it in. I appreciated the staff's helpfulness and was impressed. Thanks a mill!

Lovely facilities for the dogs - like a small park if you want to walk the dog and the staff are very kind. As a bonus there are other animals to see like geese, chickens and hogs. Ended up adopting from here and couldn't be happier with our little rescue pup and the aftercare service from the staff!
