Cherrywood Veterinary Clinic describes itself as having over 30 years looking after pets’ health, with experienced vets, nurses and support staff, plus an online shop and a Pet Health Club® membership option. The website explicitly mentions care for dogs, cats, rabbits and birds.
From the latest reviews, owners describe a mix of experiences: many highlight timely appointments and questions being answered, and name specific vets/nurses who were gentle with cats. A smaller set of reviews raise serious concerns, including a vet being rough handling a cat, a missed lymphoma diagnosis, and a perception of pressure toward longer-term treatments and higher prices than other clinics.

Some vets really should not be allowed to practice. We have a great veterinary clinic that we are frequently visiting even if it is 60km drive. Today, we had to handle a vaccination for our dog, in a bit of rush, the vet was extremely interested to offer long term treatments which you clearly see his intention to rob you as the prices are 3x the other clinics of Dublin. The vet is not capable of handling the dog, the room itself is not designed for this either. Bad experience - i will also carry this to VCI so the people having no intention to care pets but making money should not be at service.

If it was possible to leave negative stars, I would. Not only was the vet extremely rough with my cat and terrified her so much when he was handling her but he failed to diagnose she had lymphoma. I brought her multiple times when I started noticing she wasn’t feeling well and he kept insisting she was just anxious and wanted me to pay hundreds and hundreds of euro for blood tests that later cost me half the price in a different clinic. She was only diagnosed in another clinic when she was already in the last stage and we didn’t have any time to prepare ourselves emotionally. My misfortune with this clinic did not end there though! They kept sending me automatic emails whenever she was due for a checkup even AFTER I told them she had passed away and they confirmed to me they would stop sending me emails. It was a deeply hurtful reminder that my beloved pet was not around anymore. I keep getting these emails and I keep blocking their number but they still find ways to contact me.

Lovely people, from reception to vets. Florian was super gentle and friendly, answering questions and treating our cat with love. Same goes to Lea. Thank you

We have been looked after by Peter and his team when our cat got ill a few years ago, they have been caring and compassionate while we were going through this tough time. Few years on, we are clients again with our new pets, and we find everyone in the clinic approachable, reasonable and caring. Appointments are timely, all questions are answered, and I never feel dismissed. We came to Cherrywood vet clinic from another place, which felt like a money making machine, and this place feels very much the opposite. Vet costs are as these costs go, but the care provided to the animals is second to none, in my view.

I’ve been attending Cherrywood Veterinary Clinic since May 2020 with my British Shorthair cat, Romeo. Peter, Lea and the nursing team are absolutely wonderful. He always receives the best care and I feel very comfortable knowing he is in safe hands. The team treat every animal as if it was their own beloved pet. I joined the pet club recently and it’s made a fantastic financial difference in having his usual vaccination and flea treatments spread throughout the year. He recently developed pancreatitis and I need to buy a special food. I receive a great discount on the prescription diet food because of the pet club. I would highly recommend this for any pet owners who might need special food or would like to spread costs throughout the year. I am a very satisfied customer and would like to thank all the team for the gentle, loving care of my cat over the past four years.

The care and services provided by Dr Peter Lynch for my pets through 35 years is exceptional, Yesterday I had Cuan attend for his problems with his teeth,he is so well looked after by Audry and Aoife. I have four dogs and all attend the Cherrywood surgery from broken legs to every small illness!! Trust and kindness is part and parcel of the service I have received here. In 2020 I lost my pet Josh, I have always taken Peter's lead when that terrible decision has to made. It's part of life and I will ways be grateful for the warmth and kindness that enveloped my dog and my family in his final minutes. Josh"s body was sent by the surgery to a private cremation by a beautiful family service in Meath. I collected Josh a few weeks later in a lovely mahogany casket and I have him at home now with me. Sincerely, Eileen McDermott. Wyattville Loughlinstown
