The Irish Blue Cross - Mobile Unit 2 is part of The Irish Blue Cross animal charity (founded 1945). The charity’s website describes its clinics as providing veterinary care for owners who are unable to afford needed treatment, and cites a high overall caseload (average annual veterinary visits: 16,000) and a network of mobile clinic locations (10).
Recent reviews focus heavily on end-of-life support: multiple owners describe euthanasia appointments handled with clear, practical compassion, including keepsakes sent afterwards (cards, paw/nose prints, and hair clippings). Owners also mention a structured access process (registering and booking online), and one review describes being turned away when seeking urgent same-day help—creating a clear mismatch between the owner’s expectation of “emergency” access and what happened at the clinic.

My experience with the blue Cross was not a good one My dog was ill and in pain and needed help urgently. I arrived to the blue Cross at 9am I was the one there I explained my urgently. But would not help me. I need to register and make appointment online. I did take my dog to a near by vet and they seen my dog there and hot what I needed for her. As fir the blue Cross s who state they would see emergency urgently. But they would not help my dog.

Laura is the best vet in the world, I just had to get my dog put down and as sad as it was she made us and the dog as comfortable as possible before, during and after, I can't thank her and the Blue Cross enough.

We lost our beloved dog Buddy last week, the Irish Blue Cross were great with him. The Vets that we dealt with over the past couple of months were brilliant with him and made us feel at ease and made everything so easy for us when it came to his last day and saying goodbye. Received in the post today your lovely card and Buddy's paw prints and hair clippings, such a lovely touch. Thank you so much.

I had to get my baby of 14 years down a few weeks ago and I can't say enough about the blue Cross. I had changed the appointment a few times cause we couldn't bring ourselves to do it and there was never an appointment. Even on the night they offered me some chocolates to give lady beforehand. A few days later I recieved prints of her nose and paws which was much appreciated. She is missed so so much. Thanks again 💔
