I had an excellent experience with Urban Vet. From the very beginning, the support and guidance were amazing, and they helped me through the entire documentation process for my pet’s travel. I was quite apprehensive because I had seen reports of pets being unable to travel due to paperwork issues. Knowing that everything was prepared perfectly gave me a lot of peace of mind. When the documents were checked, the officer was actually very impressed and mentioned that most documents she sees usually have mistakes and need to be corrected, but mine were impeccable. I’m very grateful for all the support and professionalism. I will definitely recommend Urban Vet to my friends who need help with pet travel documentation.

Cannot recommend this veterinary clinic enough. If you are considering where to sign your pet up to this is a no brainer. My dog Diego had an accident which resulted in a broken leg. I rang the vet to make an emergency appointment and 10 minutes later I came to the vet. The team were very accommodating to the situation, seeing to Diego straight away and promptly provided us with X-rays to show the break. Lorea contacted an orthopaedic specialist to have my dog in for surgery the next day. This was all organised very quickly and calmly. The team were providing regular updates for Diego during his care, sending texts as soon as the clinic opened to inform me of the surgery time, after the surgery took place and even as they were closing and leaving to go home they would provide with an update. When we took Diego home after his surgery for his leg, he was already standing on all 4’s and able to walk slowly. The girls in urban vets went above and beyond to ensure comfort for Diego and for myself. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by reception to the moment you leave it is nothing but compassion and professionalism from the girls. I also have an older cat who was struggling with health problems, as soon as I brought her home from her overnight stay in urban vets she was back to her old personality and routine. Lorea and Molly are also particularly skilled when it comes to cats! It is clear that the staff are all very well trained and experienced, and clinical standards are very high. Emails with at home care information are provided after visits to help you understand how to help your pet post visit. If you are looking at nearby vets and are debating which to go for, this is one that I can strongly recommend. From the reassurance provided by the team, updates throughout the day, and their compassion towards animals this is a place where you can be sure your pet is safe and comfortable during a tough time, or even for regular scheduled vaccines and checkups. Very knowledgeable staff who clearly have lots of love and empathy towards animals.

Today I took my cat for his vaccination and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were very kind, professional, and careful at all times. You can tell they truly love animals and work with great care and dedication. They made me feel at ease and my cat was in very good hands. Without a doubt, a totally recommended veterinary clinic. Urban Vets is the absolute best vet practice I’ve ever visited. My 15-year-old cat, Velveeta, had some really lovely vets over the years, but nothing compares to the care she had at Urban Vets. All of the vets, nurses, and staff are exceptionally knowledgable and kind. At each appointment, we were greeted by the lovely team at the front desk and taken to the cat waiting area or cat exam room. Velveeta had thoughtful, thorough check-ups, successful dental cleaning surgeries, and all-around excellent care. Last month, Velveeta lost her appetite and I was very worried, but Molly and Lorea’s calming demeanors and clear communication styles were so reassuring. They admitted her for overnight fluids, and the staff sent me photo updates to let me know how she was doing. I dropped off her bed and the nurses even texted me to let me know she was being brushed (her favourite). I felt so comforted knowing she was getting such good care the whole time. After some tests we determined that Velveeta had an aggressive cancer, and I was devastated. Molly was so patient answering all of my questions while we weighed treatment options and surgery. I ultimately decided to do palliative care, and felt supported in this very difficult decision. When I brought Velveeta home, being able to text the staff made me feel so at ease handling her medicines and care at home. Ivana was incredibly responsive, personal, and thorough. We were able to manage Velveeta's pain and Molly helped me determine what to look out for. Once I texted because I was worried about her symptoms, and Lorea called me back to go over all of my concerns. All of the communication, patience, and consideration during the process was truly incredible and made me feel so much better about everything. I can’t begin to thank this team enough for all of the care and support they provided during Velveeta’s last weeks and moments. We continued to monitor her quality of life with weekly weight checks and exams and they helped me decide when it was time. They had so much patience and I never felt rushed. This is one of the most difficult losses I’ve experienced, but I’m so comforted knowing she had such compassionate and peaceful end of life care. I never considered how demanding veterinary medicine is: providing preventative care, performing surgery, treating illnesses, and supporting humans through their pet’s difficult endings. It’s so much to balance, but this team is exceptionally good at everything. The communication and kindness from everyone in the office was unbelievable, I can't recommend them enough.
